Cathedral Wedding / Vineyard Wedding Devon

My style of filming weddings is natural, discrete and unobtrusive. I choose to film in this way so that my couples can relax and enjoy their day without feeling posed and awkward. I shoot how I personally would like to be captured. Real un-staged emotion is the key.

When I met Laura and Toby they told me that they were nervous about having a videographer at their wedding. I knew I had to keep my camera out of their faces and give them a wide berth to keep them relaxed and comfortable on their big day. And when I say big, I mean EPIC!

Wedding Ceremony at Exeter Cathedral

The ceremony was at the truly magnificent Exeter Cathedral with it’s stunning ceilings and gothic architecture. The acoustics were amazing which meant that when the choir sang (which was made up of their family members and conducted by Laura’s uncle) it gave me goose bumps.

Laura’s grandad who was a member of the clergy at the Cathedral read the ring exchange and vows.

In and amongst all of this grandeur were Laura and Toby who looked so relaxed and happy together. Me and the fantastic photographer Alex Toze were there capturing and documenting all of the magical moments.

Reception at Froginwell Vineyard

After the ceremony, a vintage red bus took the guests to Froginwell Vineyard on the outskirts of Exeter. It was my first time at the venue and hopefully not my last. Just inside the entrance of the barn was a beautifully restored traction engine that created a stunning backdrop for the reception space.

Sandwich fingers and mini scones and clotted cream were supplied and served by Astridges caterers as well as fizz and Devon Red Cider.
