Devon Wedding - Seaside Church & stunning views evening
Devon seaside church wedding
As a wedding professional, most of my work is through referrals: friends of friends, guests at previous weddings or old school friends that follow me on Facebook. So when random couples get in touch I’m always excited (and a little nervous) to meet them.
Last year, when an email dropped in my inbox via the contact form on my website from Danielle and Adam, we decided to meet at the Clipper cafe, Shaldon for a chat. I had no connection to these two, they were complete strangers but after the first 2 minutes, before we’d even ordered the cake, I knew we would get along. Danielle is a bubbly chatty beaut of a girl and Adam is funny and welcoming. We chatted about how Adams parents had a holiday home in Shaldon and that they both had been visiting Shaldon for many years as a couple and fell in love the place, so Shaldon was the obvious place for them to get married.
We discussed what they expected from wedding videography. They said that they liked my relaxed candid style, that they didn’t want to be staged or made to feel awkward. My dream couple really! I think it’s important to really get to know my couples so that I can shot and edit in a style that’s personal to them. So when I found out that Adam loves his trips to Ibiza and that they both loved beer pong and Jagerbombs, I knew I needed a party vibe for their wedding film.
The ceremony was at St Peters church, Shaldon which is right on the river beach at the end of Shaldon bridge. The reception at Teignmouth Golf Club which has the most AMAZING views of the valley of Teignmouth and across the river Teign to Shaldon. From the golf club, you could even see the church they were married.
Below are some stills from their film and at the bottom is a link to their party vibe, Ibiza inspired highlights.
Enjoy! And get in touch if you’re getting married and want a highly personal wedding film, just like theirs below…..
